Nicholas Wideman

nicholas-headerNicholas Wideman knows that running a marathon takes commitment to an entire lifestyle of training. His non-profit, Young Marathon Runners of America, is about teaching that commitment to kids as they run a full marathon over a 9 month period in order to help them make changes for a lifetime.

Childhood obesity deals with many variables that add up to a lifestyle that must be reversed. Nicholas’s dream is to overthrow the status quo starting with his community. He draws his inspiration from the “utter conviction” with which Martin Luther King, Jr. believed in his dream.
